Analyze the Video Before It Goes Out
The best time to test a video is before anyone sees it. Upload your Reel, TikTok or Short to Retensis while you can still change the edit. You get the full analysis, and Creative Audience runs with it.
Creative Audience is a group of 30 simulated viewers. They watch your video and tell you where they would swipe away, keep watching or save it. It works on your own videos from 3 seconds to 10 minutes long.
Open Creative Audience
When the analysis is ready, open the Creative Audience tab, next to Feedback. It starts with what stood out: the biggest difference between your kinds of viewer. Beside it you will see the matching fix from your analysis.
The viewers are based on your Instagram audience where we have it, otherwise on a typical audience. Read them as a perspective to help you improve, not as a measurement. See how Creative Audience works.
Find the Moment Viewers Leave
The timeline shows when viewers swiped away, stopped watching, or rewatched, liked or saved. Each moment says why, in plain words. Tap it to play your video from that second.
Most early swipes happen in the opening seconds, before your best part arrives. Why viewers drop off in the first 3 seconds covers the usual causes.
Read Each Kind of Viewer
There are six kinds of viewer, from cold scrollers to value savers. Each kind gets a summary in plain words: most, some or a few swiped away, watched to the end, or saved it.
Tap a viewer to open their profile. It shows their habits, like watching with the sound off, and what they did on your last three videos.
Fix One Thing and Analyze Again
Pick the moment that loses the most kinds of viewer, and fix only that. A clearer first line, or a caption for sound-off viewers, is often enough.
Then analyze the new cut and open Creative Audience again. If the viewers stay longer, post it. How to check your retention before you publish shows the rest of a pre-publish check.
The Creative Audience docs explain which videos it covers and which plans include it.
