1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. When you upload a video or paste a YouTube URL, we process the video content to generate an AI analysis. We also collect basic usage data such as the number of analyses you have run.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Retensis service
• Process video analyses and generate AI feedback
• Manage your account and subscription
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets)
• Enforce our terms of service and prevent abuse

3. Video Data

Uploaded videos are processed for analysis and are not stored long-term. After the AI analysis is complete, the original video file is deleted from our storage. We retain only the analysis results (scores, feedback, and timestamps). YouTube videos are accessed via YouTube's public API and are never downloaded to our servers.

4. YouTube API Services

Retensis uses YouTube API Services to provide certain features. By connecting your YouTube account or using features that access YouTube data, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Information we access from YouTube:

• Your channel name, subscriber count, and video count
• Your video library metadata (titles, descriptions, publish dates, view counts, like counts, and comment counts)
• Audience retention analytics for your videos (average percentage viewed and retention curves)
• Thumbnail URLs associated with your videos

How we use YouTube data:

• To analyze your content performance and identify patterns across your video library
• To generate personalized recommendations and insights based on your channel data
• To provide audience retention analysis for your videos

How we store YouTube data:

YouTube access credentials are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption. Your video library metadata and analytics are stored securely in our database for as long as your account is active and your YouTube channel remains connected. We do not sell, share, or transfer your YouTube data to any third party, except as necessary to operate the Service (for example, secure cloud infrastructure providers).

Revoking access:

You can disconnect your YouTube account from Retensis at any time through your account settings. You can also revoke Retensis's access to your YouTube data directly through Google's security settings. Upon disconnection or revocation, we delete your stored YouTube credentials and video library data.

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party providers for infrastructure, AI processing, cloud storage, and payment handling. Each provider is selected for its security standards and processes data only as needed to operate Retensis. We do not sell your data to any third party.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication, and row-level security on our database. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.

7. Data Retention

Your account data and analysis results are retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at privacy@retensis.com.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your analysis data

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
